Summer in our family means lots of outdoor fun! From family picnics and fishing to catching fireflies, there's always something to do. Our favorite Family Summer Tradition, however, is to attend every town carnival, fair and festival in York & Adams County! There's just something about the smell of cotton candy, the rides, the sound of the bands playing in the background, the food, and the bright lights of the fireworks that always takes me back to my childhood.
Summer Carnivals and Fairs in York & Adams County are also used to help raise funds for many of our local Fire Companies and Community Groups. This means there is no shortage of carnivals to pick from! To help you find all the info for the York and Adams County Carnivals, Street Fairs, and Festivals we've compiled the list below. We hope that your family will be able to enjoy all of them!
Adams County:

Admission price: $8.00
Only infants in rear-facing car seats admitted free.
Unlimited carnival rides and entertainment are included in the paid admission price!
Wristbands must be worn to enter the carnival ride area.
Anyone using free passes must purchase a carnival ride wristband at the gate for a small fee if they wish to ride the carnival rides.
2024 Fair hours are:

The 34rd Annual Fawn Grove Olde Tyme Days is June 28-30 2024, and benefits the Citizens Volunteer Fire Company in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania.
Come on out and take a step back in time to watch all kinds of tractor pulls on our track and gas engines, and LOTS OF TRACTORS! You can also enjoy dancing, live bands, kid’s events, great food, flea markets, a parade on Saturday and much more!
Admission is FREE! Parking is also FREE at Kennard-Dale High School with a FREE shuttle to the show grounds.

Ahoy Mateys !! It is the 2nd Annual Pirate Quest!
This is a family friendly event being held at Pheasant Run Greenhouse and Garden Center on June 29th from 2-8pm If you got what it takes to be a true pirate, this is your chance to show it off!
Dress up for the adventure! When you arrive you will get checked in and can see what your pirate name is (name tags will be provided). If you choose to do the quest first please set aside about an hour for that, however, we have designed it so that you can do part of the quest and rest and go back and do more if you so dare! The quest is for the entire family so young and old can be involved.
We will have lots of fun things to do including :
- Pirate obstacle challenge
- Pirate games
- Bounce houses
- Giant inflatable slip n slide ( you will get wet)
- Treasure dig
- Foamy sea time (bubble foam),
- Dunk a pirate
- and more
We will have food, vendors and some entertainment as well!
Tickets for families are $25 per car

Each year the New Freedom Lions Club hosts an annual carnival to raise funds for local charities. All funds raised go directly back to the community, organizations like the girl and boy scouts, the New Freedom Fire Company, New Freedom Ambulance Service, SYC Library, New Freedom Community Center, and many others. The carnival is manned by many volunteers who work for the good of the community.
