Hi everyone,
Did you miss me?! I kind of hope so because I've missed writing my updates! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for about a month. It’s been quite eventful in our house. We barely had time to unpack from vacation when my Macaroni Princess got sick and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. We got lucky in that she got a really bad rash,and we were able to catch it early, get her to the doctor’s and get her on antibiotics as soon as possible. We check the kids for ticks every time they come in from playing outside, but apparently, we missed one.
Then a week later we ended up back at Hershey Medical Center because she was throwing up and had a fever. Turns out it was a viral infection that she probably caught from her big brother, but because she was already fighting the Lyme it hit her pretty hard. Sorry for the other people in the waiting room, she had some projectile vomit while we were in there. #momlife, am I right?
Please please PLEASE check your kids for ticks, not all children get a rash and that means that sometimes it will go undiagnosed and cause serious health problems later on.
This is what her rash looked like, and it just kept multiplying. I'm still pretty paranoid every time I see a red spot on her, but it looks like she'll be alright!
Okay, on to better things, Disney on Ice is coming to Hershey and the Macaroni Princess couldn’t be more excited! We’ve been watching videos and she really wants to go.
