Family Vacation, procrastination, and back to school shopping!

Yes, more back to school, but this time there's free money involved!

Greetings from the Outer Banks!!!

Let me just tell you, these past two weeks have been STRESSFUL! Preparing for a week long vacation with 5 kids and 2 adults is not as easy as it sounds. If it sounds easy at all. I'm pretty much of a "Fly by the seat of my pants" kinda gal and my other half is more of a let's plan every day of our vacation. He looks at the weather 2 weeks in advance for crying out loud! I just look out my window and go from there. We compromised on some plans and some free time, #couplewin.

Then there's the packing. Thankfully I only had to pack for two of the kids (three if you consider the man of the house). The 17, 14 and 12 year old were on their own. I think I did a pretty bang up job. The picture is with 5 sets of sheets, clothes for 6 out of the 7 people, beach essentials, some food for the ride and some for the week. Don't tell me you're not impressed. I feel like I should start a 'packing for vacation' business.

Since our family vacation was scheduled for the same week as my finals, I thought I'd get all my school work done ahead of time. Let me just tell you, that's a lot of school work. I managed to get most of it done. Some of you may have noticed that last week's newsletter was missing my super entertaining weekly blurb. I felt really bad about it. I'm not sure if any of you actually read it or not. But I'm sorry it was missing. The plan was to get last week's and this week's newsletters done in advance but procrastination took over, and here I am. On vacation, getting my newsletter done. I know the event calendar looks a bit bare, but I promise once I'm home I'll get back to beefing it up!

How professional does he look? Although about a second after this he got hit in the face with a wave.

Alright and now on to my favorite subject, BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're even a tiny bit like I am, you don't like spending a whole lot of money on clothes for the kids. I mean, they outgrow them so fast, they rip them, or get them stained, it's just not worth paying $30 a shirt for a kid. So just for parents like us, Kid's Closet Connection is having it's bi-annual consignment sale from September 6th through September 9th. And not only can you shop great brands at discounted prices, you can also SELL your own stuff!!! AND Macaroni Kid subscribers get 50% off the consignor fee. That's how much everyone loves us! KCC is offering a $10 gift card to 1 MK Gettysburg Subscriber, 1 MK Valley Green Subscriber and 1 MK South York Subscriber. Get more information right..... HERE!
